Oil Painting with Amy Jamison Saturday, October 25, 2025
Join artist Amy Jamison for this sunset oil painting workshop. This class is for beginners through advanced and the painting can be modified to meet each artist at their current level. We will discuss materials needed to paint with oils. We will develop our oil painting skills by learning how to sketch an underpainting with transparent red oxide and ultramarine blue. Paint will be applied in a wet on wet alla prima style using the fat over lean method. We will learn about using a limited palette and keeping our palette in order-so we can develop muscle memory on mixing colors. We’ll discuss blending on the palette versus the canvas and soft and hard edges. All supplies are included.
