Culinary Lavender
Lavender is an herb from the mint family and can be used in both savory and sweet dishes. For savory dishes lavender is great in marinades, pasta or pizza sauces as well as a topper for salads. On the sweet side, lavender pairs well with lemon, shortbread, and chocolate.
Ingredients: Organic culinary lavender buds
4 oz/118 ml
Lavender Simple Syrup Recipe
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 tablespoon lavender
Place ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil, allow the sugar to completely dissolve. Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for 30 minutes. Strain the lavender buds and allow the simple syrup to cool. Place in a pourable container and refrigerate for up to one week. Use to sweeten coffee, tea, or fresh squeezed lemonade.
