The seasonal coffee drink at Long Row for the past two years has been our gingerbread latte. We have so enjoyed this drink the last two seasons! Since the farm will be closing shortly, we wanted to share this holiday drink recipe with you!
Gingerbread Sauce Recipe
Here is what you will need-
3/4 Cup White Granulated Sugar
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Water
1 Tablespoon Molasses
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a soft boil, and cook until the sugar dissolves, stirring the entire time.
2. Transfer to a heat proof container, and let the sauce cool to room temperature. Store in the refrigerator.
Gingerbread Latte Recipe
For Drip Coffee -
To make our latte at home, fill your coffee cup half way with coffee and add 2 Tablespoons of gingerbread sauce. Fill the remainder of your coffee cup with frothed milk.
Pull two shots of espresso and add 2 Tablespoons of gingerbread sauce. Fill the remainder of your coffee cup with steamed milk.
