Pie Crust Making Workshop with Donna Lauck - Friday, October 10, 2025
Learn how to make homemade, flakey, delicious pie crust, the foundation of your pies, in a fun and casual setting. Your instructor, Donna Lauck, is the owner of Red Mule Ranch, in Wright City, Missouri, and was Long Row Lavender Farm’s first baker from 2018-2020. She has been making award winning pies for over 40 years, and has been doing pie crust workshops with her daughter, Katie Power, for over six years. The skills and tricks you learn will make your pies the hit at Thanksgiving this year! No more bought pies that no one eats! Bring your friends, or come alone. No experience necessary. MUST reserve your spot.
In this class you will learn how to use a pastry blender, rolling pin, spatula, and your fingers to flute your pie crust dough in your pie plate. Bring your own 9” pie plate or purchase a Pyrex glass plate for $8.00 at the workshop. All tools will be provided as well as ingredients. You will be provided a variety of Red Mule Ranch pie recipes, the pie crust recipe and instructions, as well as tips and tricks for success. You will take home a pie crust in your pie plate and a bag of dough for another shell or top. This workshop will give you the confidence and skills to be successful in making delicious pies. There will be time for questions and answers while eating your complimentary slice of pie at the end of the workshop. Extra slices available for purchase to take home.
